"The ocean of tomorrow 2011": €45 million dedicated to multidisciplinary research projects to promote the development of thriving maritime activities while preserving our seas and oceans. This event will be jointly opened by Máire Geoghegan-Quinn, Commissioner for Research, Innovation and Science and Maria Damanaki, Commissioner for Maritime Affairs and Fisheries. European Commission services will address the rationale of the call, its modalities for implementation and details of the four individual call topics. A brokerage session will allow participants to give flash presentations about their project ideas and look for partners to set-up or join a consortium.
